BrickWorks is a family friendly service program hosted at Hollis, that helps sort & break apart donated legos. Partnering with the THE GIVING BRICK, a Kansas City based non-profit that collects used LEGO bricks,  repackages sets, and gives them children served by CASA of Jackson County. Through out the summer families joined us at Hollis to experience the joy of working together as a community to serve others.  During our BrickWorks service hours, we sort through donated LEGO bricks and break apart already assembled LEGO pieces.

All attendees are welcome to bring sack lunches or snacks, and explore the trails & hills of Hollis before or after the service event.
From The Giving Brick website www.thegivingbrick.org

“We are Kansas City-based, non-profit organization collecting used LEGO®  bricks to give to kids in need.  We take LEGO bricks in any condition. If you have LEGO pieces or sets you would like to donate to a worthy cause, please send it to us!  We will have your old LEGO items clean and part of an official LEGO set before you can say 'Everything is Awesome!'“

Join us again at the Lodge for Hollis BrickWorks !
BrickWorks is a partnership between THE GIVING BRICK and Hollis.  Hollis welcomes the public to the Lodge to break apart and sort donated Legos. These Legos eventually end up being repackaged into complete Lego sets which are distributed to children served by CASA of Jackson County.

COVID PRECAUTIONS & RESERVING YOUR SPOT
Because of the effects of COVID-19 - we are changing how we run the event, to ensure all volunteers and staff are safe.

We are limiting the number of people attending to 40 - and asking for you to let us know how many tables you need for your group. Tables can accommodate up to 8 people from the same party. You are welcome to stay for only 1 hour, or both. If you choose both hours, you need to book both hours.

Each table can accommodate up to 8 people, and currently we are allowing only tables to be set up. If you have more than 8 people in your party, please book another table. We are allowing 30 minutes between each session, this will allow our staff to clean & disinfect the space prior to the next group.

Summer 2021: June 16th | July 14 | August 4th
